Madi Acharya-Baskerville works primarily with found/discarded materials to explore issues around migration and cultural differences. Her recent series of paintins/constructions make use of found images and text from newspapers and magazines often to be discarded themselves.
She is interested in the darker aspects of our response to a beautiful image - what lies beyond a beach lined with dreamy palm trees.
